RK Nagar polls: Forgery case against E Madhusudhanan
Ahead of the R K Nagar bypoll, a criminal case has been filed against O Panneerselvam camp's candidate E Madhusudhanan accusing him of forgery. In a complaint filed on Thursday, Palanisami, the complainant, has alleged that Madhusudhanan produced fake documents to obtain a flat in 1995.

The complaint alleges that while serving as a minister in Jayalalithaa's cabinet in 1995, Madhusudhanan received a flat under the Tamil Nadu housing board scheme after producing fake and forged documents. The TNHB flat was allotted to Vijayalakshmi, the wife of E Madhusudhanan, the complaint says.
Panneerselvam camp has questioned the timing of the complaint. While the case dates back to 1995, the complaint has been filed just days before polling for the upcoming R K Nagar bypoll. The complaint comes on the day Panneerselvam inaugurated the party office and released their manifesto.
