R K Nagar bypoll: G K Vasan extends support to O Panneerselvam

Vasan, while making his support official, praised O Panneerselvam and said that he was a good man and reflected the sentiments of the people.

The O Panneerselvam camp of the AIADMK is gaining more strength as the R K Nagar bypoll is drawing closer. Tamil Manila Congress leader G K Vasan announced his decision to support Panneerselvam in the poll. The leader will also be seen campaigning alongside E Madhusudhanan starting Saturday.

Vasan's move comes after O Panneerselvam, C Ponnaiyan, K P Munusamy, S Semmalai and K Pandiarajan visited Vasan's Alwarpet residence and held talks with the former Union minister. Vasan later visited Panneerselvam's residence to make his support official.

"People of Tamil Nadu look at Panneerselvam as a good man. He is simple and reflects the sentiments of the people. In brief, people support him and so do I," said G K Vasan speaking to the media on Thursday. Vasan claimed that his party workers would begin campaigning for Panneerselvam camp's candidate starting Thursday.
