Congress
New Delhi, March 5: When Kerala Governor Nikhil Kumar resigned from his post, succeeded by Sheila Dikshit (former Chief Minister of New Delhi), there was a clear indication of an RJD-Congress alliance.

Nikhil Kumar, especially was pressing for the deal. The RJD and Congress are likely to announce a seat sharing agreement today where Congress has agreed to leave the Madhubani seat for RJD and the latter in turn has given 12 seats to the former.

The RJD is also likely to preserve a seat for the NCP. Kumar would be given the Aurangabad seat, which is a traditional Congress stronghold.

A former Commissioner of Delhi Police, Kumar faxed his resignation to Rashtrapati Bhawan from Kochi airport after landing on Tuesday evening.

Earlier, Lalu Prasad visited Kumar in Patna, triggering speculations of his contesting the Aurangabad Parliamentary seat.
