Rio Kapadia, Actor Known For Chak De India And Dil Chahta Hai, Dies At 66
Veteran actor Rio Kapadia has passed away on Thursday. He was 66. Known for his roles in movies such as 'Chak De! India,' 'Happy New Year,' and 'Mardaani,' he breathed his last on September 13. His close friend, Faisal Malik, confirmed this sad news to IndiaToday. He is survived by his wife, Maria Farah, and their children, Aman and Veer.
Rio's family has officially confirmed the demise and provided information regarding his funeral arrangements. The final farewell for Rio will be held at 11 a.m. on September 15 at Shiv Dham Shamshan Bhoomi in Goregaon.

A close friend of Kapadia issued an official statement, stating, "Dear friends, it is with deep sadness that I inform you of the passing of our dear friend Rio Kapadia at 12:30 pm today." Rio is survived by his wife, Maria, and daughter, Farah. His most recent appearance was in the series "Made In Heaven 2."
Throughout his career, Rio graced the silver screen in various films, including 'Khuda Haafiz,' 'The Big Bull,' 'Agent Vinod,' and more. He was recently featured in an episode of 'Made in Heaven 2.'
Beyond his cinematic endeavors, Rio was a well-known presence on television, where he made notable appearances in shows like 'Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke' and Siddharth Tewary's 'Mahabharat,' where he portrayed the role of King Subala of Gandhara, Gandhari's father.
