Rinku Singh’s Wedding Update: Ceremony With Priya Saroj Rescheduled—Here’s What We Know

The much-anticipated wedding of Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj, initially scheduled for November 19, 2025, has been postponed. The couple, who recently got engaged in a grand ceremony in Lucknow, will now reportedly tie the knot in February 2026, according to a report by Amar Ujala.

The engagement, held earlier this month in Uttar Pradesh's capital, was a lavish affair attended by several notable personalities, including Samajwadi Party president and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, veteran actress Jaya Bachchan, and Indian cricketer Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Rinku and Priya shared heartwarming moments from the event on their social media handles.

Quoting family members of the couple, Amar Ujala reported that the wedding was initially set to take place at the Taj Hotel in Varanasi. However, Rinku Singh's cricketing commitments with Team India in November led to a change in plans. The hotel has now been rebooked for the end of February, although the exact date of the rescheduled wedding has not yet been confirmed.

On June 8, Rinku announced his engagement to Priya with an emotional post on Instagram. He wrote, "This day has been in our hearts for so long - almost three years - and the wait was worth every second. Engaged - with full hearts and a forever to go."

Rinku Singh, who played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2025 Indian Premier League season, has quickly become a household name in Indian cricket thanks to his consistent performances.

Priya Saroj, meanwhile, is a newly elected Member of Parliament from the Machhlishahr constituency. Representing the Samajwadi Party, she rose to prominence during her father's campaign in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections and has been active in the party ever since. Hailing from Karkhiaon village in Varanasi, she is considered one of the rising faces in the SP's political ranks.

The new wedding date is expected to be officially announced soon, once Rinku Singh's national cricketing schedule permits.
