Wealthiest Lok Sabha Candidates in Delhi: Manoj Tiwari Leads

In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Delhi, Bhojpuri singer-turned-politician Manoj Tiwari emerges as the wealthiest candidate among the notable figures from BJP, AAP, and Congress, boasting assets worth Rs 28.05 crore. Following him is Ramvir Singh Bidhuri from BJP with assets amounting to Rs 21.08 crore, and AAP's Mahabal Mishra with Rs 19.93 crore in assets, marking them as significant contenders in the financial stakes of this political race.

Delhis Richest Election Candidates

Bansuri Swaraj, stepping into the political arena for BJP from the New Delhi seat, has declared assets worth Rs 19 crore. She is closely followed by former AAP leader Raaj Kumar Anand, now with BSP, who has assets valued at Rs 17.87 crore. Swaraj's portfolio includes luxury vehicles and prime real estate in Delhi's affluent areas.

Manoj Tiwari, contesting for the third consecutive time from the North East Delhi seat for BJP, disclosed an income of Rs 46.25 lakh from his diverse career in entertainment and politics. His academic credentials include a BA Honours and a master's in physical education from Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

On the other end of the spectrum, Congress's Kanhaiya Kumar, competing against Tiwari, has declared assets of Rs 10.65 lakh. His educational background includes a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), completed in 2019.

Other candidates have also made their financial standings public. Praveen Khandelwal and Udit Raj from BJP and Congress respectively have declared their incomes and assets, showcasing a wide range of financial statuses among the candidates.

Rajan Singh stands out as the first third-gender candidate in the Lok Sabha polls from Delhi, with declared assets worth Rs 15.10 lakh. This highlights the diverse representation in this year's election.

Delhi is set to vote in the sixth phase on May 25, with the anticipation building around these candidates' prospects. The scrutiny of nomination papers is scheduled for May 7, with May 9 as the last date for withdrawal of candidature.

The financial disclosures of these candidates provide a glimpse into their backgrounds and resources as they vie for a seat in one of India's most politically significant regions. With such a mix of seasoned politicians and new entrants, Delhi's Lok Sabha elections are poised to be closely watched events.
