Respect for the honest; loss for the dishonest: Piyush Goyal in Rajya Sabha on demonetisation

Goyal while taking part in the debate of demonetisation began by saying that, "Today the entire nation is wholeheartedly welcoming this move of the government".

New Delhi, Nov 16 Rajya Sabha took up discussion on demonetisation of currency on opening day of the winter session. Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy, Piyush Goyal today strongly defended the government's move to scrape old currency notes of denomination Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000.

Goyal while taking part in the debate of demonetisation began by saying that, "Today the entire nation is wholeheartedly welcoming this move of the government".

He further added that for the first time in the country honest are respected and those who are not honest are suffering loss. He reassured the people that if the money is white money then the individual need not worry at all.
