Republic Day parade: Colourful tableaux leave audience enthralled at Rajpath

    Colourful tableaux showcasing rich and diverse cultural heritage of India at the Republic Day parade left the audience enthralled at Rajpath, New Delhi, on Friday.

    There were a total of 23 tableaus in the Republic Day parade 2018, out of which 14 represented different states and Union Territories. This year, for the first time, a tableau of All India Radio (AIR) led a series of 23 tableaus during the Parade.

    While Assam tableau reflects the traditional masks of the Satras, that of Kerala -the God's own country -- depicts Kettukazcha, an offering of devotees associated with the temple festivals and farming community.
