Republic Day Parade 2024: How To Buy Tickets Online And Offline
After the Ram Temple inauguration, the next big event in line is Republic Day. This day marks the official adoption of the constitution and is celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm all across India.
This year, the grand day falls on Friday. The parades of regiments will start at 09:30 AM from Vijay Chowk, cover a distance of five km, and will reach India Gate. The venue to attend the parade is Kartavya Path in New Delhi.

How To Buy Tickets Online:
Online tickets are available to the public from January 10 and can be purchased until January 25. However, ticket availability depends on daily allocation and could sell out quickly. Therefore, it is advisable to get tickets as early as possible. Follow the steps below to buy tickets online:
- Go to the Ministry of Defence's official website: https://aamantran.mod.gov.in/login
- Enter name, email address, mobile number, and date of birth to sign in or register.
- Verify identity by receiving an OTP on the same registered number.
- Select the event from the dropdown menu: DR Republic Day Parade, Republic Day Parade, or Beating the Retreat.
- For each ticket, enter the attendee's name, address, age, gender, and photo ID for verification. Provide a scanned copy of a driver's license, passport, voter ID card, PAN card, or Aadhar card as photo ID.
- Select the category and quantity of tickets. Optional tickets are priced at Rs 500 for a reserved seat, INR 100 for an unreserved seat, and Rs 20 for an unreserved seat with a restricted view. Each transaction allows the purchase of a maximum of four tickets.
- Use an e-wallet, debit card, credit card, online banking, or UPI for the transaction.
- A confirmation email and SMS containing booking details and a QR code will be sent after the successful payment.
- Download and print the e-ticket and bring it with the original photo ID proof to the venue.
- Scan the given QR code at the entry gate to gain access.
How To Buy Tickets Offline:
Offline ticket sales started on January 7 and will continue until January 25. Tickets are available from 10 AM to 5 PM on weekdays and from 10 AM to 2 PM on weekends. They can be purchased at registered counters across Delhi. Follow these steps to buy tickets:
- Go to the authorized sales outlet or the designated Republic Day ticket counter.
- Provide a photocopy and original photo ID, such as an Aadhar card or PAN card.
- Select the category and quantity of tickets.
- Three options are available: reserved seats for Rs 500, unreserved seats for Rs 100, and unreserved seats with restricted views for Rs 20. One person can purchase a maximum of four tickets.
- After making payment in cash, receive tickets and receipts.
- Bring tickets with the original photo ID proof to the parade venue.
Counters To Buy Tickets Offline:
Tickets can be purchased from IDTC Travel Counters, the Government of India Tourist Office, DTDC Counters, the Departmental Sales Counter, the Parliament House Reception Office, and the Government of India Tourist Office.
This year's parade will prominently feature all-women contingents from the defense forces, showcasing women's empowerment. In addition to this, the parade will include diverse state and Union Territory tableaux, depicting their culture, history, and achievements.
