Republic Day 2025: Chandrababu Naidu, Jr NTR Congratulate Nandamuri Balakrishna For Padma Bhushan Award

Actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, affectionately known as Balayya or NBK, received the Padma Bhushan award on January 25. This honour was part of the Republic Day celebrations, recognising his significant contributions to Telugu cinema and philanthropy. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, along with actors Jr NTR and Venkatesh Daggubati, extended their congratulations.

Balakrishna was among 19 Indians awarded the Padma Bhushan this year. The award acknowledges his dedication to the Telugu film industry and his philanthropic efforts, particularly through the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital. Venkatesh Daggubati joined in celebrating Balakrishna's achievement with a post on X: "Many congratulations to Balayya on the prestigious Padma Bhushan!! The Padma Awards were announced in three categories: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. This year saw 139 awards distributed across various fields - seven Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan, and 124 Padma Shri awards were given out. These honours celebrate individuals who have made significant impacts in their respective areas.
