Red-Light Area Sex Worker From Kolkata's Sonagachi Says,'If You Have So Much Lust, Come To Us'

A woman from Kolkata's Sonagachi red-light area has been winning hearts online with a heartbreaking statement after the heinous rape and murder of a young doctor. The kind-hearted woman advised men to visit red-light areas instead of raping and killing women for a few-minutes lust.

"If you have that much lust for a woman, come to us. Please don't ruin the lives of women. Don't destroy their lives by resorting to rape," she said.

"We have such a huge red light area here. You can come here. There are girls who are here who are working for Rs 20-50. So, please don't target girls who are going out to work. We have to change the mentality," she added.

Her statements have gone viral, making her a sensation online. Social media users hailed her as a hero and asked 'rapists' to learn basic humanism from her.

"Most of the rapists share some common characteristics like lack of empathy or remorse, impulsivity, grandiosity, narcissism, lust for power and women's body," shared a user.
