Ravi Kana Gang Member Arrested in Noida, Tenth Arrest in Gangsters Act Case

In a significant development, the police in Greater Noida have apprehended another member of a notorious gang led by the infamous gangster Ravi Nagar, also known as Ravi Kana. This arrest marks the tenth arrest in a case registered under the stringent Gangsters Act earlier this month against the criminal group.

Background of the Case

On January 2, an FIR was lodged at the Beta 2 police station under the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities Prevention Act, 1986, against Ravi Kana and his 15 associates. The police have been actively pursuing the gang members, and nine of them have already been apprehended.

The Arrested Gang Member

The latest arrest in the case is Prahlad alias Amar Singh, who served as a driver for Ravi Kana and was an integral member of the gang. Prahlad was apprehended near the ATS roundabout in the Beta 2 area of Greater Noida.

Prahlad's Role in the Gang

Prahlad, who hails from Agra district, played a crucial role in the gang's logistics operations. His primary responsibility was to ensure the smooth transportation of scrap from its source to the desired destination.

Ravi Kana's Involvement in Heinous Crimes

Ravi Nagar alias Ravi Kana has been embroiled in several heinous crimes, including a shocking gang-rape case. In December 2023, he and four of his associates were booked in a gang-rape case registered at the Noida Sector 39 police station. The incident involved the rape of a woman inside a car in the parking lot of a shopping mall in the city in June of the previous year.

Gangsters Act Invoked and Assets Seized

Following the gang-rape case, Ravi Kana and his gang members were subsequently booked under the stringent Gangsters Act. As a result, nine of his associates have been arrested, and the police have seized ill-gotten assets worth hundreds of crores.
