Ratan Tata's Death: Check His Last Instagram Post

Ratan Naval Tata, former chairman of Tata Group, passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday.

A prominent industrialist, Tata served as chairman of Tata Sons from 1990 to 2012, and as interim chairman from October 2016 to February 2017. He continued to lead the company's charitable trusts until his passing. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian honour, in 2000, followed by the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest honour, in 2008.

"It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation," a statement from N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, confirmed the news of his death.

"For the Tata Group, Mr. Tata was more than a chairperson. To me, he was a mentor, guide and friend. He inspired by example. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation, the Tata Group under his stewardship expanded its global footprint while always remaining true to its moral compass," Chandrasekaran added.

Tata's Last Instagram Post
He joined Instagram on October 30, 2019. In his first post, he had written, "I don't know about breaking the internet, but I am so excited to join all of you on Instagram! After a long absence from public life, I look forward to exchanging stories and creating something special with such a diverse community!"

Thereafter, he had been regular posting pictures on Instagram. Till his death, he had shared 67 posts.

From his pet dog to vintage photos, he shared pictures that got immense response on social media sites.

However, his last Instagram post was related to his health that he shared just two days ago. It announced that he remained in good spirits and there was no cause of concern, thereby ending all the misinformation.

The last photo he shared on his Instagram was on July 1 with medical practioners. The post read: "The Tata Trusts Small Animal Hospital is finally open to the public moving from its trial phase to phase one. We are excited to bring in this new day for veterinary care, a day that marks Care. Cure. Comfort. Thank you Mumbai for your support so far and in the years to come.
