Rapper Santy Sharma Calls Cockroach Janata Party ‘Internet Drama’, Warns Against Online Manipulation

Rapper Santy Sharma has now reacted to the viral Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), calling it "internet drama" and warning people against blindly following social media trends without understanding the background behind them.

The rapper shared a long statement on Instagram on Sunday after the Cockroach Janta Party continued dominating online conversations across platforms. The satirical movement recently crossed 13 million followers on Instagram, even surpassing the official Instagram follower count of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

Santy Sharma Calls CJP 'Internet Drama'

In his Instagram statement, Santy Sharma said the Cockroach Janta Party "feels more like internet drama than a serious movement."

The rapper claimed that many users, especially younger audiences online, often join viral movements without properly researching the people behind them.

Referring to CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, Sharma alleged that Dipke had earlier been associated with the Aam Aadmi Party and had shared posts critical of India in the past.

"The founder of this so-called CJP has reportedly been associated with AAP and has shared multiple posts in the past that appeared critical of India itself," Santy Sharma wrote.

'Focus On Real Issues, Not Online Drama'

The rapper further said that if people genuinely cared about the country, they should focus on issues like development, employment, education, innovation and national unity instead of getting emotionally influenced by viral internet trends.

He also warned against encouraging Gen Z towards protest culture inspired by political situations in neighbouring countries.

According to Santy Sharma, people should avoid emotionally provoking young audiences into street protests similar to situations seen in countries like Nepal and Bangladesh.

Santy Sharma Raises Concern Over Foreign Support Claims

Santy Sharma also repeated claims earlier made by BJP leaders that a significant section of online engagement around such movements allegedly comes from accounts linked to Pakistan, Bangladesh and anti-India narratives.

"It is also concerning that a large portion of the social media support behind such movements reportedly comes from accounts linked to Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other anti-India narratives," he wrote.

The rapper urged Indians to stay alert about digital propaganda and manipulation tactics on social media platforms.

He concluded his statement by requesting authorities to monitor such activities carefully in order to maintain peace, stability and national interest.
