Rape of 13-year-old: Parents blame forced abortion pills for cancer

The parents of a 13 year old girl who was raped at a private school in Bikaner district have alleged that their daughter had contracted cancer as she was forced to take abortion and contraceptive pills. Eight school teachers had allegedly raped a 13 year old student several times since 2015.

In her statement to the police, the girl said that the teachers gang-raped her after asking to stay back for extra classes. They also made a video of the incident and threatened to circulate it, if she complained, the victim also alleged.

The girl is said to have become pregnant. This is when the teachers forced her to swallow contraception and abortion pills. This is said to have led to a cancerous growth in her body, the parents have alleged.

The police have lodged an FIR and the accused have been summoned for questioning. It was also found during the course of investigations that the victim was forced to do 400 sit ups by the accused teachers as she had come late to school. The police say that at first the locals try to resolve the matter amicably, but the father decided to go ahead and file a complaint with the police.
