Randomisation of EVMs done at Morigaon

Morigaon, Mar 14: The first randomisation of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for three Assembly constituencies of Morigaon district was done today at the Conference Hall of the district Deputy Commissioner.

The three constituencies are 79 Jagiroad, 80 Morigaon and 81 Laharighat, said an official release.

Of the total 823 EVMs, 32 of them were reserved for training process, the release said.

The Assembly-wise distribution of EVMs was 292 for Jagiroad, 259 for Morigaon and 240 for Laharighat.

Stating that the second randomisation of EVMs for polling stations would be done shortly, the releases said senior officials of the District Administration and representatives of various political parties were present during the process.
