Ranchi School Teacher Sends Obscene Texts To Students, Probe Ordered

A shocking case of alleged sexual harassment in a Ranchi school has come to light. A teacher at Shraddhanand Bal Vidyalaya in Khokhara, Ranchi, has been accused of forcing female students into objectionable video chats and even attempting to take them to hotels.

The accused teacher, identified as Abhishek Kumar Sinha, allegedly pressured more than 15 girl students into inappropriate online conversations, including forcing them to undress on video calls. One student reportedly stopped attending classes after being taken to a hotel.

The case of Ranchi teacher harassment went viral on social media after complaints tagged senior officials, including the Ranchi Deputy Commissioner and the Jharkhand Chief Minister.

Ranchi School Sexual Harassment Case Investigation

Following the outcry, authorities formed a three-member inquiry committee to investigate the allegations of student harassment in Jharkhand schools. The committee includes top education officials and has been asked to submit its report within 48 hours.

Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri confirmed that action has been initiated, while District Education Superintendent (DSE) Badal Raj personally visited the school. He met teachers, the principal, and students to gather evidence.

Action Against Accused Ranchi Teacher

The accused teacher has not attended school since the allegations surfaced, and his mobile phone remains switched off.

The school principal has been instructed to ensure the teacher cooperates with the Jharkhand education department probe.

The teacher has been removed from all teaching duties during the investigation.

Teachers at the school have been banned from taking leave until the inquiry concludes.

Strict Warning from Education Department

"If the allegations of sexual abuse by the Ranchi teacher are proven, he will not be spared under any circumstances," said DSE Badal Raj.

Meanwhile, authorities organized awareness sessions in the school on good touch vs bad touch, child safety, and cybercrime awareness to reassure students and parents.

The Ranchi school sexual harassment probe is ongoing, and officials are expected to file a detailed report within two days. Parents and child rights activists have demanded strict punishment and stronger measures to ensure student safety in Jharkhand schools.
