Ramdev to open 10,000 yoga centers in Haryana
Rai (Sonepat), Apr 21: Yoga guru Ramdev today announced that 10,000 yoga training centers would be opened in Haryana that could be a combination of Vedic and modern teaching methodologies.
He said these training centers would be opened on the lines of Nalanda and Takshila universities, popular learning centers of ancient India, which imparted education to about 10,000 students.

Ramdev made the announcement at a function organised at Moti Lal Nehru School of Sports to felicitate him on being appointed as the state's brand ambassador.
The yoga guru also thanked Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who later laid the foundation stone of his Acharyakulum school at Dikadala village.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed between Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar and the state Government here today.
Ramdev described Haryana as "Hari Ki Bhumi", saying that Lord Krishna delivered the message of Bhagwad Gita on the same land about 5,000 years ago.
"Similarly, the message of yoga and ayurveda from this land will reverberate in the whole world," he added.
He lauded Khattar for announcing to open 'Vyayamshalas' and 'Yogashalas' in 6,500 villages of the state and said he would open 10,000 yoga training centers in Haryana within the next two years with the assistance of the state government.
Ramdev said the Patanjali Yogpeeth is the largest yoga center in world and a much bigger yogpeeth would be opened in Haryana.
