Ramdev, Advani, Sri Sri, Big B likely to be honoured with Padma awards
New Delhi, Jan 23: Days after honouring former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee with Bharat Ratna, the Modi Government is planning to confer Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award in the country, on former deputy PM and veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani.
According to media reports, spiritual gurus Baba Ramdev and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, actors Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth may also be awarded with Padma awards this year.

Beside these, veteran actor Dilip Kumar, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, lyricist and ad guru Prasoon Joshi, scriptwriter Salim Khan, also figure in the list.
Badminton player PV Sindhu, wrestler Sushil Kumar and his coach Satpal and Indian hockey team captain Sardara Singh will also be receiving awards in the sports category.
Yet there is no confirmation from the Government on the final list. The final list will be finalised by the Prime Minister's Office and is likely to be declared on January 25.
The Padma Awards will be conferred on the recipients on the Republic Day on January 26.
