Ram Temple Inauguration: Fadnavis Slams Critics, Says BJP Fulfilled Promise
Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis criticized those who mocked the BJP over the Ram Temple issue, stating that the upcoming inauguration on January 22 serves as a fitting response. He highlighted the realization of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayees dreams through the temples construction and the abrogation of Article 370.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asserted that the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 serves as a resounding response to those who taunted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with the phrase "mandir wahi banayenge par tarikh nahi batayenge" (we will build the temple there but will not reveal a date for it).

BJP's Realization of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Dream
Fadnavis highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled the long-cherished dream of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee by overseeing the construction of the Ram Temple and the abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee's Vision and Promise
Fadnavis recalled an incident when Vajpayee was criticized in the Lok Sabha for the absence of references to the Ram Mandir, Uniform Civil Code, and Article 370 in his government's common minimum programme. Despite leading a coalition government of 22 parties, Vajpayee expressed his commitment to building the Ram Temple and scrapping Article 370 if his party gained power with a majority.
Opposition's Skepticism and BJP's Triumph
Fadnavis pointed out that certain opposition parties are now questioning whether the Ram Temple is the private property of the BJP. He emphasized that these are the same individuals who mocked the BJP's determination to construct the temple. With the temple now a reality and the date for idol consecration announced, Fadnavis invited the opposition to visit Ayodhya and witness the temple's grandeur.
Celebrating Good Governance Day
The inauguration of the Ram Temple coincides with the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, which the Union government commemorates as Good Governance Day on December 25.
