Yogi Adityanath Highlights Ram Temple Foundation and Dharm Dhwaj Hoisting as Life Milestones

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted significant events in his life, including the Ram temple's foundation stone laying and construction in Ayodhya. He shared these thoughts at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in Delhi. Adityanath expressed confidence that the BJP would secure victory in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

Adityanath remarked on his tenure as the longest-serving chief minister of a large state like Uttar Pradesh. He noted, "I am the first chief minister to have served for such a long time in a large state like Uttar Pradesh." He emphasised the importance of the Ram temple's foundation being laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ram Temple and Heritage Pride

The chief minister reflected on his family's deep connection with the temple movement over three generations. He said, "...in these three events, I was the only person whose three generations were completely associated with the temple movement." This underscores his personal and familial ties to the cause.

Addressing questions about the slogan "Kashi, Mathura baaki hai," Adityanath stated, "We will reach all the places... Any community should have pride in its heritage. Efforts have started in that direction." This indicates ongoing efforts to honour cultural heritage across various locations.

Supreme Court Verdict and Economic Goals

Adityanath expressed gratitude towards the Supreme Court for its unanimous verdict on the Ram temple issue. He stated, "We are grateful to the Supreme Court, which gave a unanimous judgment after going through the facts and evidence presented. This is the biggest victory of India's democracy, that everybody accepted the judgment of the Supreme Court."

Discussing economic ambitions, Adityanath outlined Uttar Pradesh's goal to become a USD 1 trillion economy by 2029-30. He mentioned that public suggestions from 98 lakh people are shaping a vision document targeting 12 key sectors. The state's growth trajectory has been promising so far.

Significance of December 6

December 6 holds historical significance as it marks the demolition of Babri Masjid in 1992. Adityanath remarked on this date's importance, stating, "Today December 6 is extremely important as the disputed structure was removed. Naturally, a kalank stain was removed and the temple was built again."

Adityanath also highlighted Uttar Pradesh's role in achieving India's economic targets set by the Centre. The state aims to contribute significantly to India's goal of becoming a USD 5 trillion economy by 2027 and a USD 30 trillion economy by 2047.

The chief minister's remarks reflect both his personal connection to Ayodhya's developments and his vision for Uttar Pradesh's economic future. His statements at the summit underscore ongoing efforts towards cultural pride and economic growth.
