Ram temple construction a matter of faith, not an election
Mathura, June 1: Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday said the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya "is a matter of faith" and not an election issue.
"Construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya is a matter of faith. Even in 1990, it was not an election issue," the Union Minister for Communication and Information Technology told reporters.

Prasad said construction of the Ram temple will not be an issue during campaign for the 2017 Assembly election in Uttar Pradesh.
On the cleaning of Yamuna river, Prasad said, "We don't want ad hoc arrangement on eliminating Yamuna pollution. Constructive work in this direction are required and work in this direction has started."
On Congress president Sonia Gandhi's remarks that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was functioning like a dictator, Prasad said, "In fact Modi is working as Pradhan Sevak of the countrymen."
