RSS calls for celebration of Ram temple consecration ceremony as festival

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has called upon the people of India to celebrate the January 22 consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya as a festival. The ceremony will mark the culmination of a decades-long campaign by the RSS and its affiliates to build a temple on the site where the Babri Masjid once stood. The mosque was demolished by a mob of Hindu extremists in 1992, triggering widespread violence across the country.
Preparations for the Ceremony

In preparation for the ceremony, RSS workers will embark on a nationwide door-to-door campaign between January 1 and 15 to extend invitations to the people. RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said that the temple is being built in Ayodhya and the idol consecration ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 22. He added that it will be a great moment of joy for all of us, including those living abroad, as after several years of efforts, a magnificent temple of our Lord Shri Ram is being built in Ayodhya.
Significance of the Ceremony
RSS national publicity head Sunil Ambekar said that Lord Ram is a symbol of dignity, love, and dharma and called on the people to celebrate the consecration ceremony as a festival. He added that it will be a great moment of joy for all of us and a moment of harmony. Ambekar also said that he believes that with the consecration of the idol at the temple, India will keep up its march on the path of progress.
Participation of Prominent Leaders
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and thousands of seers from across the country have been invited for the consecration ceremony. The ceremony is expected to be attended by millions of people from all over India.
