BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh has strongly criticized Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, for referring to the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya as a political event. Chugh asserted that this statement reflects the Congress party's anti-Ram stance and its tendency to engage in divisive politics that goes against the cultural ethos of India.

Ram Temple Consecration: BJP Blasts Congress for Political Stance

Congress Accused of Politicizing the Ceremony

Chugh emphasized that the consecration ceremony holds immense religious significance and is a matter of national faith. He expressed disappointment that the Congress has chosen to abstain from the event, thereby politicizing it. Chugh highlighted the fact that people from all castes and communities will be participating in the ceremony, as Bhagwan Shri Ram is a symbol of national pride.

Congress Leaders Criticized for Degrading Symbols of Faith

Chugh further accused Congress leaders of consistently undermining symbols of the nation's faith. He pointed out that at a time when the entire country is resonating with chants of Shri Ram, the Congress is striking a discordant note that goes against the popular sentiment.

Invitation Sent to All, Regardless of Political Affiliations

Chugh clarified that invitations to the Ayodhya function have been extended to everyone, irrespective of political affiliations. However, he expressed dismay that the Congress continues to inject politics into the event. He urged the Congress to learn from the views expressed by prominent figures like senior Congress leader Karan Singh, who have emphasized the importance of respecting the popular faith of the nation.

Appeal to Respect Popular Faith

Chugh concluded by urging the Congress to respect the religious sentiments of the people of India and refrain from politicizing the Ram temple consecration ceremony. He emphasized that the event transcends political boundaries and represents a moment of national unity and pride.
