Raksha Bandhan: Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi Celebrate Sibling Love; Share Heartfelt Messages
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra shared a heartfelt Raksha Bandhan wish for her brother, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition.
Along with her message, she posted a collage of their childhood photographs, including one with their father, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

The collage also featured a nostalgic black-and-white image of Rahul and Priyanka playing together in a small toy car.
In her post on X, Priyanka likened the sibling bond to a vibrant flowerbed, where cherished memories, shared experiences, and an ever-growing friendship thrive, all rooted in mutual respect, love, and understanding.
She said, "The relationship between a brother and a sister is like a flowerbed in which memories of different colors, stories of togetherness, and the resolve to deepen the friendship flourish on the foundation of respect, love, and mutual understanding. Brothers and sisters are companions in struggle, companions of memories, and also boatmen of companionship."
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi also extended his Raksha Bandhan greetings to the nation, emphasising the unbreakable bond of love and affection between siblings.
He shared a picture of himself and Priyanka, saying, "Many congratulations and best wishes to all the countrymen on the festival of Rakshabandhan, the festival of unbreakable love and affection between brother and sister. May this thread of protection always keep your sacred relationship strong."
Raksha Bandhan, also known as Rakhi, is being celebrated on Monday, August 19 this year. This traditional Hindu festival honors the special bond between brothers and sisters.
On this day, sisters tie a rakhi around their brothers' wrists, and in return, brothers present gifts as a token of their love and care.
The rakhi symbolises the brothers' promise to protect their sisters from any harm or adversity, displaying the protective nature of their relationship.
