Rajya Sabha adjourned for day after condolences
New Delhi, July 27: The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day on Monday after condoling the death of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Kalpataru Das.
Das, 65, passed away on Saturday after a prolonged battle with cancer. He was also the BJD vice-president.
Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Hamid Ansari also condoled the death of two former members of the house, Republican Party of India leader R.S. Gavai and Congress leader Bijoy Krishna Handique.
