Rajinikanth urges fans to call off birthday celebration plans
Chennai, Dec 8: In view of the devastating floods in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth who will turn 64 on December 12, urged his fans to call off all plans made to celebrate his birthday.
He urged his fans to extend their help in ongoing relief operation. Fans of Rajinikanth usually celebrate his birthday like a ritual.

Life in flood-hit Chennai is slowly limping back to normalcy, with shops opening up and a massive clean up initiated in areas where the water levels have receded.
According to sources, he feels extending help to the people of the state is more important than celebrating his birthday.
Rajinikanth donated Rs.10 lakh to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund to extend his support to rain affected victims of Tamil Nadu.
Heavy rains have pounded many parts of Tamil Nadu severely disrupting the livelihood of its people.
Other than Rajinikanth, actor Dhanush, Suriya and his brother Karthi have also donated money to the help the rain-affected victims of the state.
