Rajnath speaks to MP CM on Simhastha tragedy
New Delhi, May 5: Home Minister Rajnath Singh tonight spoke to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and expressed his "deep sadness" over the killing of six persons in a thunderstorm at Simhastha Mahakumbh in Ujjain.
During the telephonic conversation, the Chief Minister told the Home Minister that normalcy will be restored in the temple town by tomorrow morning. "Shivraj Chouhan himself is monitoring the situation at Ujjain.

He is leaving no stone unturned to improve the situation on the ground," Singh tweeted. Six persons were killed and around 40 injured this evening when heavy rain accompanied by lightning and squall wreaked havoc at the site of the ongoing Simhatha Kumbh Mela here, flattening and uprooting pilgrims' tents.
