AAP-LG turf war: Home Minister Rajnath Singh calls on President Pranab

New Delhi, May 20: Home Minister Rajnath Singh met President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday in the wake of differences between Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the appointment of officials.

The details of the meeting were not immediately known.

Both Jung and Kejriwal had met the president on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day,Jung cancelled all transfers and postings done by the Delhi government led by Arvind Kejriwal in the past four days.

Kejriwal wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to let his democratically elected government function independently.

In a bid to reach a common ground between the Delhi government and Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia called for a meeting with officers to discuss the flow of work with them.

Sisodia met the officials to brief them about rules and the flow of work.
