Rajiv Gandhi a source of inspiration: Himachal CM
Shimla, Aug 20: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said on Saturday former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was a source of inspiration.
Paying tributes on his 72nd birth anniversary here, he said: "Rajiv Gandhi is an icon of the youth who sacrificed his life while maintaining the unity and integrity of the country."

State cabinet ministers Vidya Stokes and Kaul Singh were among others who paid tributes.
Rajiv Gandhi, born on August 20, 1944, served as the sixth prime minister of India from 1984 to 1989.
He was assassinated in a suicide bombing at Tamil Nadu's Sriperumbudur on May 21, 1991.
