A woman accused of deceiving numerous job seekers by pretending to be a Delhi Police officer has been apprehended by Rajasthan Police. She allegedly exploited her fake identity to access VIP services and swindle unemployed individuals out of large sums of money, promising them government jobs.

Rajasthan Woman Arrested for Job Scam

Churu SP Jai Yadav reported that the arrest followed a tip-off about Sharma's activities. A police team from Sahwa station in Churu district detained the suspect, who is from Devgarh and only completed her 12th grade education. During the arrest, authorities seized a counterfeit Delhi Police ID card from Sharma. They also discovered images and videos on her phone showing her in a Delhi Police uniform.

Fraudulent Activities Uncovered

The investigation uncovered that Sharma allegedly defrauded several unemployed youths in Delhi, Jaipur, and Haryana by promising them government positions. The police revealed that she targeted individuals seeking employment and extracted significant amounts of money under false pretenses. Her fraudulent activities spanned multiple regions, affecting many victims.

One victim, Arjun Lal, lodged a complaint against Sharma. He claimed she swindled him out of Rs 12.93 lakh by assuring him a position as a head constable in the Delhi Police. This complaint played a crucial role in the investigation, highlighting the extent of her deceitful operations.

The case underscores the importance of verifying credentials before engaging with individuals offering job placements. Authorities are urging people to remain cautious and report any suspicious activities to prevent further incidents of fraud. The police continue to investigate the matter to identify other potential victims and collaborators involved in this scheme.
