Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma sets the stage for an electricity revolution in the state. His vision includes affordable and reliable power supply, harnessing renewable energy, and educating the public about conservation. The goal is to transform Rajasthans electricity landscape for the benefit of its citizens.
Jaipur, December 20: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma asserted that providing affordable and uninterrupted electricity to the people of the state is a top priority for his government. He emphasized the need to formulate an action plan that considers long-term requirements in the energy sector.

Harnessing Renewable Energy Potential
During a review meeting of the energy department held at the Chief Minister's Office, Sharma highlighted the immense potential for renewable energy in Rajasthan. He instructed officials to prepare a detailed action plan addressing the demand and requirement of electricity in the state.
Promoting Energy Conservation
Recognizing the importance of energy conservation, the chief minister directed the energy department to launch a public awareness campaign to educate citizens about the need to save electricity. He stressed the significance of continuous monitoring of electricity supply and regular feedback from public representatives, departmental employees, and the general public.

He called for improvements in power lines, installation of new transformers, and establishment of grid substations (GSS) to ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity. Additionally, he emphasized the need for power companies to prioritize reducing power wastage and minimizing transmission losses.
Increasing Power Generation Capacity
To reduce the state's reliance on purchasing electricity from external sources, the chief minister directed officials to increase Rajasthan's power generation capacity.
