Chief Minister Expresses Grief

Expressing deep sorrow over the tragic incident, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family. In a compassionate gesture, the state government promptly announced a special financial assistance package for the family, including the provision of a government job to a dependent of the deceased constable.

Financial Assistance to the Family

As per an official press release, the family of the deceased constable will receive a substantial financial assistance of Rs 1.35 crore along with other departmental benefits. This generous support aims to alleviate the financial burden faced by the family during this difficult time.

Scuffle Breaks Out

The incident unfolded when a scuffle erupted between two groups at the fair. Constable Singh, in a display of duty and commitment, intervened to pacify the situation. Tragically, during his attempt to restore order, he was viciously stabbed in the neck by an assailant.

Police Detain Suspects

Following the incident, the police swiftly initiated an investigation and have already detained eight individuals in connection with the case. The main accused, identified as Praveen Garasia, remains at large, and intensive efforts are underway to apprehend him.

Former CM Demands Justice

Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed profound grief over the incident and took to social media to demand the immediate arrest of the accused. He conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and urged the state government to ensure the strictest possible action against the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

Tribute to the Fallen Constable

As a mark of respect, the body of Constable Niranjan Singh was placed in the mortuary of the district hospital for post-mortem examination. The entire police force and the community mourn the loss of a brave officer who laid down his life in the line of duty.
