Rajasthan: PM Modi Inaugurates Development Projects Worth Over Rs 7,000 Cr In Chittorgarh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday, unveiled a series of development projects valued at over Rs 7,000 crores in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. Following this, he addressed a public gathering in the area.
Before delivering his speech in the election-bound state of Rajasthan, PM Modi visited and paid his respects at the Sanwaliya Seth Temple in Chittorgarh. Accompanying him was the state's BJP president, CP Joshi, who also serves as the Lok Sabha MP for Chittorgarh. At the temple, Modi extended greetings to the priests.

According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), later in the day, PM Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 19,260 crore in Madhya Pradesh.
In Chittorgarh, PM Modi will inaugurate the Mehsana-Bathinda-Gurdaspur gas pipeline, constructed at a cost of Rs 4,500 crore, further promoting a gas-based economy. He will also inaugurate Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited's (HPCL) LPG plant in Abu Road. This plant is designed to bottle and distribute 86 lakh cylinders annually, which will lead to a significant reduction in the number of trucks required for transportation, potentially saving around 0.75 million kilometers of travel each year and reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 0.5 million tons annually.
Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate a four-lane road on NH-12 (new NH-52) along the Darah-Jhalawar-Teendhar section, a project valued at more than Rs 1,480 crore. This road will facilitate the transportation of minerals from Kota and Jhalawar districts, improving trade efficiency.
The foundation stones for the expansion of the railway overbridge from two lanes to four in Sawai Madhopur will also be laid. The Prime Minister will inaugurate various railway projects, tourism facilities, and the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kota.
PM Modi's Visit to Gwalior:
During his visit to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, PM Modi will inaugurate the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, developed at a cost of about Rs 11,895 crore. He will also lay the foundation stone for five distinct road projects worth over Rs 1,880 crore.
'Grih Pravesh' Ceremony:
In alignment with his vision to ensure every family has a solid home, the Prime Minister will initiate the 'grih pravesh' ceremony for over 2.2 lakh homes constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin. He will also inaugurate houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban, with a total cost of about Rs 140 crore.
Drinking Water Initiatives:
To address the government's focus on providing safe and adequate drinking water, Modi will lay the foundation stone for Jal Jeevan Mission projects worth over Rs 1,530 crore in Gwalior and Sheopur districts. These projects are expected to benefit more than 720 villages in the region.
Furthermore, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for nine health centers as part of the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, and inaugurate and launch several other projects.
It's worth noting that assembly elections in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are expected to be held in November-December.
