Rajasthan: Man beaten up by mob on suspicion of child molester in Jaipur, dies in hospital
A 25-year-old man was beaten up by a mob in Vishwakarma area in Jaipur on February 3 in suspicion of being a child molester. However, he died later while receiving treatment on February 21.
The man has been identified as Mohammed Faisal, who is a shoemaker. It is learnt that the 3-year-old daughter of his neighbour Aslam Ansari had gone out with Faisal at about 11 am on February 3. Later Ansari was informed by some unknown person that his Faisal had left his daughter somewhere. When Ansari reached the place and found his daughter. But while returning he saw a mob beating Faisal black and blue.
Faisal was tied to an electricity pole, and people around him were hitting and kicking him. People were heard saying that he was a child lifter and should be killed. He was later rushed to Bangar hospital. However, police arrested two people connected with the crime.
Ansari said that Faizal was mentally weak and there were times when he would become absolutely quiet. Even when the incident happened, Faizal did not say anything in his defence.
Meanwhile, Faizal's family blamed hospital administration that he was discharged by the hospital authorities despite he being in a serious condition. He could barely walk and died eventually in the hospital.
