Rajasthan Lab Attendant Watches YouTube Tutorial To Conduct ECG Scan In Jodhpur

A lab attendant in Rajasthan is making headlines after a video surfaced showing him performing an ECG (electrocardiogram) scan while following a YouTube tutorial. The incident occurred at a hospital in Jodhpur and has quickly gone viral, garnering significant attention since it was shared on a YouTube channel called 'Nukkad News.'

The footage, captured at the Satellite Hospital in Paota, has accumulated over 1,200 views. It depicts the attendant conducting the ECG on a patient while continuously referring to the YouTube video. In the background, family members can be heard requesting a certified doctor or qualified staff, but the attendant remains unfazed, proceeding with the procedure as if nothing were amiss.

Despite the family's visible concern and their attempts to document the situation, the lab attendant focuses solely on the tutorial, disregarding established medical protocols. Dressed in yellow, he performs the scan, while a family member in a blue t-shirt expresses unease over the unfolding events. The video captures their frustration as they allege that the nursing staff was also complicit in this unprofessional behavior.

In response to the uproar, the lab attendant admitted that he lacked the knowledge to perform an ECG and justified his actions by explaining that trained staff were unavailable due to the Diwali holiday.

Following the incident's viral spread, Principal BS Jodha of the medical college affiliated with the hospital announced that an investigation is underway. He assured the public that appropriate actions would be taken against those responsible for this alarming breach of medical protocol, as reported by India Today.
