Rajasthan: Indian Air Force To Conduct Major Military Exercise From July 23 to 25

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to carry out a significant military exercise in Rajasthan between July 23 and July 25. The operations will cover a broad stretch from Barmer to Jodhpur, an area close to the India-Pakistan border. This exercise aims to test the operational readiness, coordination, and rapid response capabilities of the IAF in a desert combat environment.

As part of the preparations, a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) has been issued in the region. A NOTAM is an official alert used to inform pilots and air traffic controllers about temporary changes in airspace usage. These notices are essential for flight safety, warning aviation personnel about potential hazards such as restricted airspace, military exercises, closed runways, or technical issues with navigational aids.

The issuance of a NOTAM indicates that both civilian and military aircraft must follow revised airspace protocols during the exercise period. Such measures ensure smooth coordination and help avoid accidental interference with ongoing defence operations.

This military drill comes amid heightened regional alertness and reflects the IAF's continued focus on strategic preparedness and air defence capabilities in key border states like Rajasthan.
