Jaipur, December 25: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has taken a strict stance against laxity in duty by government employees. On Monday, he suspended three staff members of the state-run Sawai Man Singh Hospital for being absent during his surprise inspection.

Surprise Inspection Reveals Absenteeism

During his unannounced visit to the hospital, the chief minister found senior nursing officers Mukesh Babu Agrawal, Alam Ali Khan, and nursing officer Mukesh Kumar absent from their respective duties. Consequently, an order was issued to suspend all three individuals.

Suspension and Reassignment

As per the order, the suspended staff will be temporarily attached to the Ajmer Zone office during the suspension period. This action serves as a strong message to all government employees, emphasizing the importance of punctuality and adherence to duty.

Strict Action Against Absenteeism

Chief Minister Sharma conveyed a clear warning to all doctors, officers, and personnel, stating that strict action will be taken against those who arrive late or remain absent without permission. He stressed the significance of punctuality and dedication to duty in ensuring efficient healthcare services.

Following the surprise inspection, the chief minister addressed a meeting with senior medical and administrative officers of Sawai Man Singh Hospital. Recognizing the importance of round-the-clock patient care, Sharma highlighted the need for adequate staff, even during night shifts. He also advocated for a rotational duty system among hospital employees to ensure sufficient personnel in all wards.
