Rajasthan Chief Minister Surprises with Inspection of Jaipur's Development Projects
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma conducted a surprise inspection of various projects on Saturday to assess transportation and health facilities for the public, according to an official statement. During his visit, he reviewed construction work and arrangements, providing necessary guidelines to officials.

Sharma first visited the Hirapura Bus Terminal on Ajmer Road, where he examined the arrangements. He gathered detailed information about the project from officials and instructed them to ensure basic facilities such as drinking water, shaded seating areas, and sanitation systems for passengers. He emphasised that these facilities should be ready by August for bus operations to commence.
Metro Extension and Rain Preparedness
The chief minister also inspected the Metro extension from Mansarovar to Ajmer Road crossing under Jaipur Metro Phase 1-D. He urged officials to complete the metro project promptly while maintaining quality standards. Additionally, he discussed extending the metro facility to the newly constructed Hirapura Bus Terminal and instructed officials to determine the route for Phase 2 of the Metro and issue a tender for preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) soon.
Sharma directed officials from Jaipur Development Authority and Municipal Corporation to make advance arrangements to mitigate problems caused by heavy rains, ensuring that the public does not face any difficulties during monsoon season.
Health Facilities and Hospital Construction
The chief minister inspected the open jail in Sanganer and directed Jaipur Development Authority officials to complete land allocation within a week for constructing a 300-bed hospital. He also instructed Medical and Health Department officials to prepare the DPR soon so that the foundation stone could be laid before Diwali.
Sharma then visited Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS). He instructed officials to enhance medical facilities at RUHS, appoint doctors, and arrange proper accommodation for patients' relatives.
Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Shubhra Singh, Additional Chief Secretary to CM Shikhar Aggarwal, Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing T. Ravikant, along with senior officers from Jaipur Development Authority, Municipal Corporation, Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation, and RUHS were present during the inspections.
The chief minister's visit aimed at ensuring that all ongoing projects meet quality standards and are completed on time. His focus was on improving public amenities and healthcare facilities across Rajasthan.
