CM Ashok Gehlot Advocates Peace and Unity at Shri Amra Bhagatji’s 181st Birth Anniversary
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot addressed the 181st birth anniversary of Shri Amra Bhagatji, emphasizing peace, harmony and unity. He spoke about Mahatma Gandhi's ideals of non-violence that he follows. He highlighted Rajasthan government's welfare schemes for animal farmers which have led to Rajasthan being first in milk production nationwide.
Rajasthan Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, on Thursday highlighted the significant role of seers in propagating peace, harmony, and unity. Speaking at the 181st birth anniversary and Chaturmas programme of Shri Amra Bhagatji organized by Sarva Samaj Sanatan Chaturmas Vikas Samiti and Amra Bhagat Seva Sansthan at Narbadiya in Chittorgarh, he drew parallels between these ideals and those followed by Mahatma Gandhi.
Gandhi's Ideals Echoed

The Chief Minister further stated that his government was working in alignment with Gandhian principles. He emphasized how Mahatma Gandhi adopted non-violence as a way of life and governance. He also pointed out that similar values were being upheld by his administration to ensure peace and harmony within the state.
Support for Animal Farmers
He highlighted several initiatives undertaken by his government to support animal farmers and cow shelters. The Rajasthan government has granted Rs 3,000 crore for the maintenance of cow shelters while cattle rearers are offered financial assistance of Rs 40,000 per cow that succumbs to lumpy disease.
Chief Minister Kamdhenu Animal Insurance Scheme
In addition to this aid, under the Chief Minister Kamdhenu Animal Insurance Scheme, free insurance worth Rs 40,000 is provided for two milch animals per family. This initiative aims at safeguarding animal farmers from unexpected financial burdens due to loss or illness of their livestock.
Milk Production Boosted through Subsidies
The state government is also providing a subsidy of Rs 5 per litre on milk which has greatly encouraged dairy farming in Rajasthan. As a result of such public welfare schemes aimed at boosting rural economy, Rajasthan has emerged as the leading state in milk production across India.
