Independent MLA Rajkumar Sharma said he wanted to raise the issue of agitating farmers but was prevented from speaking. He demanded a reply from the government. Congress members, who had also started uproar on the issue, joined Sharma and stormed to the well of the House, thus forcing the speaker to adjourn the House for half-an-hour.

When the House reassembled, deputy speaker Rao Rajendra Singh gave his ruling and said the government will reply. Water resources minister Rampratap said that various farmer-related issues were listed for the day and urged the lawmakers to allow the House to function.

"Demands for grants for drinking and irrigation water are listed in the business today which are important things for farmers and anyone creating disturbance in this will be anti-farmer," said Rampratap. This aggravated Sharma who started arguing with the minister.

Parliamentary affairs minister Rajendra Rathore and transport minister Yunus Khan intervened. When the ugly scenes and uproar continued, Deputy Speaker Rao Rajendra Singh adjourned the house till 2 pm.
