Is Sonam Raghuvanshi, Accused Of Plotting Husband's Murder, Pregnant With First Child?

Is Sonam Raghuvanshi pregnant with her first child? The prime accused in the murder case of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi has tested negative for pregnancy, News18 reported.

What Medical Tests Say?

The medical tests, conducted at Ganesh Das hospital in Shillong in Meghalaya, have revealed that she is not pregnant. However, an earlier report claimed that the result was "inconclusive," due to which the doctors want to perform an ultrasound after a week.

As part of the investigation, Sonam, who is in a three-day transit remand with Meghalaya Police, has undergone a detailed medical examination carried out by a team of three female doctors.

It is reported that it was found during the check-up that Sonam is mentally disturbed and extremely frightened. Sonam was given energy drinks and juices throughout the morning as she appeared to be weak. There have not been any external injuries to her body.

A section of the media had speculated about pregnancy, giving a new twist to the murder case of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi.

Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case

Sonam married Raja Raghuvanshi on May 11. They left for their honeymoon on May 20. Their initial plan was to go to Kashmir but changed their plans following the Pahalgam attack. On May 22, they arrived in Mawlakhiyat village on a rented scooter, trekked down over 3,000 steps to Nongriat village, and stayed overnight at a homestay to visit the famous 'living roots' bridges. The next morning, around 6 a.m. on May 23, the couple checked out and left on their scooter for sightseeing only to vanish without a trace.

On May 24, an abandoned scooter was found near a café on the Shillong-Sohra road on May 24, prompting a search operation hampered by heavy rains. On June 2, Raja's badly decomposed body was discovered in a deep gorge near Wei Sawdong waterfall.

Though his face was unrecognizable, a tattoo bearing his name confirmed his identity, according to a report in The Hindustan Times. The autopsy revealed he had been struck twice on the head with a sharp object, confirming foul play. Meanwhile, Sonam remained missing until June 4, when police recovered crucial evidence at the scene-a white shirt, a medicine strip, a broken phone screen, and a smartwatch. A murder case was formally lodged.

After 17 days, Sonam Raghuvanshi resurfaced in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night. The cops have arrested three others - Akash Rajput (19), Vishal Singh Chauhan (22), and Raj Singh Kushwaha (21) - in connection with the murder.

It is now reported that she had an affair with Raj Singh Kushwaha which is said to be a possible motive behind the murder.
