Raj Thackeray's oops moment, seeks votes for rival Shiv Sena

Mumbai, Oct 7: During an election rally at Nilanga, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray on Monday committed a faux pas and appealed to the people to vote for the bow and arrow which is the symbol of rival party Shiv Sena.

On October 4, while campaigning for his party, in a rally held at Nilanga in Latur district of Marathwada region, Raj Thackeray said, "Abhay Salunke is a very old associate. Please make him successful and vote for bow and arrow...errr...railway engine in the coming elections."

Bow and arrow is the symbol of Shiv Sena and symbol for MNS is railway engine.

Within hours of this rally, the video clip went viral on social media. As per a Hindu report, Shiv Sena supporters are saying that now Raj Thackeray too wanted Shiv Sena to win."

As per the daily, the Sena supporters took a dig at Raj Thackeray and said he finally spoke his heart out after years. "Whatever is there in your heart, finds its way to your lips...Raj Thackeray says vote for bow and arrow," a post on Facebook by Shiv Sena supporters said.
