Rains in parts of Uttar Pradesh

According to the department, chief amount of rainfall was recorded at 3 cm in Jalesar, 2 cm in Aligarh and 1 cm each in Ballia and Sikohabad in the past 24 hours.
The department said the southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of the state and conditions were favourable for its advancement in the remaining parts of UP during the next three days.
The department said rain or thundershowers would occur at few places over east UP tomorrow and in a few places over the state on July 5 and many places on July 6.
