Rains expected in Bengaluru and Chennai in March first week
The blazing sun has already started giving nightmares of the summer to come this year. With temperatures soaring to 28 degrees and 31 degrees in Chennai and Bengaluru respectively, it may come as some respite that rains are expected in both cities during the first week of March.
Light to heavy rains is expected between March 4 and 7 in Bengaluru. In Chennai, rains are expected between March 3 and March 7. A Norwegian weather forecast yr.no and a meteorological website has predicted heavy rains in both cities while the Indian Meteorological department has predicted isolated as well as scattered rainfall for the next one week in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The IMD has predicted light showers and rains in isolated parts of south Karnataka, starting March 3.
For those already complaining of the blazing sun well before summer, the rains are sure to come as a relief. Rains have also been predicted by the IMD in Andaman Nicobar islands, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim for the next 5 days.
