Rains continue to lash Rajasthan

Jaipur, Sep 1: Widespread rains continued for the second day in parts of Rajasthan with Jaipur and Udaipur divisions recording heavy downpour.

Rainfall occurred at few places in Bharatpur, Kota, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions till morning. Heavy rainfall was gauged at isolated places in Jaipur and Udaipur divisions, the weather department said.

The maximum rainfall was recorded in Sabla (Dungarpur) - 10cm, followed by Nimbahera (Chittorgarh) - 8 cm. Jaisalmer and Ganganagar recorded 4.4 and 4 mm rains respectively since morning.

The MeT department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in eastern parts of the state during next 24 hours.
