Rains bring respite in Bihar

Patna, Jun 21: Moderate rains today brought down temperatures in Patna and other parts of Bihar. Patna received 17.2 mm rainfall, while the temple town of Gaya registered 32.6 mm of rainfall.

Bhagalpur received 25.7 mm of rain and recorded a maximum of 36.7 degrees Celsius, the MeT Department said here.

Maximum temperature in Patna was recorded as 37.4 degrees Celsius while in Gaya, mercury settled at 38.8 degrees Celsius. According to the weatherman, rainfall during the night is likely in Patna and other parts of the state.
