Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Reacts On West Bengal Train Mishap
Five passengers have been confirmed dead while several have sustained injuries in a train mishap that took place today in West Bengal, on Monday morning. A goods train collided with Kanchenjunga Express from behind in New Jalpaiguri.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reacted and posted on X about the unfortunate train mishap.

"Unfortunate accident in NFR zone. Rescue operations going on at war footing. Railways, NDRF and SDRF are working in close coordination. Injured are being shifted to the hospital. Senior officials have reached site," Vaishnaw said.
Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took to X and informed that all necessary actions will be taken on "war-footing".
