Upset with pro separatist stand of Congress, Rahul Gandhi's war room strategist resigns
Ashish Kulkarni is Rahul Gandhi's aide and has been working with the Congress since 2009
Ashish Kulkarni, a key war room strategist for the Congress and Rahul Gandhi's aide has resigned from the party citing mismanagement. In a harshly worded letter addressed to Rahul Gandhi, Kulkarni has accused the party of being "ideologically and culturally comfortable with far-left in extending sympathy to Kashmiri separatists, JNU protestors and in minority appeasement."
Ashish Kulkarni has been the member of Congress' coordination centre otherwise referred to as the war room and has been a strategist for the party in all elections since 2009. While telling Rahul Gandhi that the party is going through difficult times, Kulkarni has claimed that the party cadre has many questions. "Despite being a national organisation we have not succeeded in identifying, grooming and creating a depth of management required," the Kulkarni lashes out at the Congress.
His resignation comes ahead of the crucial Gujarat and Karnataka assembly elections. Kulkarni has accused mismanagement in the party for its loss in Maharashtra, Assam, Goa, Uttarakhand and Arunachal. He also claimed that the same was being repeated in Himachal and Gujarat.
Kulkarni in his letter has accused the Congress of moving away from the centrist space and becoming 'Anti-Hindu' party like Communists, Trinamool Congress etc.
