Rahul's convoy car hit by moving train, driver escapes miraculously

New Delhi, April 30: The driver of a police vehicle had a narrow escape after a train hit it at an unmanned railway crossing near Guddem locality on Hindupur town outskirts on Wednesday morning, said a

The police car was to be used as a jammer in the convoy of AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi. The Congress leader is to address a poll rally in Hindupur in the evening, police said.

The Bangalore-bound train hit the vehicle, which had got stuck on the tracks. Police were conducting a rehearsal of the convoy movement.

However, the driver managed to jump out of the vehicle.

Rahul will arrive in Puttaparthi by helicopter and drive down to Hindupur town to address an election rally.
